I grew up watching Steel Magnolias, loving Clarese, hating that armadillo cake, and wishing that Shelby had listened to her mother and had not gotten pregnant with Jackson.
I loved the scene in the graveyard where Sally Field’s character went on a rant about her still being alive and her daughter being dead. I wonder what this remake will hold for an old fan of the original movie.
There is one major exciting change. There is an all black cast with some 
stalwarts and some new faces. The film stars Queen Latifah, Alfre Woodard, Phylicia Rashad, Jill Scott, Adepero Oduye and Condola Rashad.
