TempleofDeliveranceWomensChoirThe Gospel Music Association (GMA) has announced the nominees for the 45th Annual GMA Dove Awards and among the honorees is the 200-voice strong Temple of Deliverance Women’s Choir. The melodious ensemble has earned its first ever Dove Award nomination for its debut CD “Pastor Milton R. Hawkins Presents In the Sanctuary” (Habakkuk Music) that boasts the soul-stirring radio hits “Everybody Praise,” “Breakthrough” and “Keep Me Every Day.”

The choir is nominated in Category 29 Traditional Gospel Album of the Year where it will compete alongside projects by Donnie McClurkin, Dexter Walker & Zion, William McDowell, Dexter Walker & Zion Movement and Darnell Davis & The Remnant. The awards show takes place on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Allen Arena on the campus of Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN at 6:30 p.m. CT. The twelve-track CD was produced by noted musician/ composer Derrick Starks and features the choir performing with soloists such as Grammy Award winner Karen Clark Sheard, Tamela Mann and veteran vocalist Lisa Page Brooks. The dynamic vocalist Carla Tolbert Taylor led the fiery radio single, “Everybody Praise.” It rose to #20 on Billboard’s Gospel Airplay chart and led the CD to debut at #10 on Billboard’s Gospel Albums chart. The equally riveting current single “Breakthrough” is led by Lena Starks and just debuted in the Nielsen BDS Top 50 Gospel Airplay Songs chart.

All proceeds from “In the Sanctuary” contribute to the choir’s donations to charities around the world. The 45th annual GMA Dove Awards will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2014, at Lipscomb University’s Allen Arena in Nashville, Tennessee and will be broadcast live on Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) at 6:30 p.m. CST.


The Gospel Music Association (GMA) announced today, from Allen Arena on the campus of Lipscomb University, the nominees in 42 categories for the 45th Annual GMA Dove Awards. The conference was also streamed live on www.hearitfirst.com/live.  The awards show will take place on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Allen Arena on the campus of Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN at 6:30pm CT.  Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) will air the awards show on the network’s global stage reaching over 100 million homes in the US, plus global and multi-platform distribution. Voting for the final winners will run August 26th through September 9th. All tabulations certified by the independent accounting firm, Kraft CPAs PLLC.
Wayne Haun leads all nominations with 12 and artists Hillsong United, Lecrae, Mandisa and Matt Maher have 5 nominations apiece.

Pure N heart live recordingStellar Award Winning Youth Choir ready to record its 5th live CD.  Pure-N-Heart Kids, Teen PNH & PNH Movement are made up of over 400 anointed and gifted musicians, preachers, songwriters, and artists from SC, NC and GA.

The recording weekend kicks off August 30, 2014 at the beautiful Cornerstone Baptist Church, 700 Converse St, Spartanburg, SC, where Bishop Charles Jackson is pastor, at 5:08pm.  When asked about the start time being 5:08pm, Alphaeus, the PNH founder & director says, because Matthew 5:8 says “Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.”

Some of the special guest artists that will be featured on this recording and concert are National Recording Solo Artist Lowell Pye from Men of Standard, LaJeune Thompson, Shawn Bigby, who is label mate of PNH and debuted at #27 on Billboard with his recent release, John P Kee’s Lil Rufus, and more!

The recording will spill over to the next day at one of the biggest Southeastern Gospel concerts called SpiritFest, presented by ERAY Promotions featuring Kirk Franklin, Erica Campbell, Tamela Mann, Tye Tribbett, Lee Williams, Rance Allen, and More! Gospel artist Tamela Mann is having a stellar year!  Tonight she snagged an NAACP Image Award for Best Gospel Album for her Best Days – Deluxe Edition.  The CD contains that hit song “Take Me To the King”, written by Kirk Franklin. The song was the most performed gospel song for 2012 and 2013!
